Jessica Lange Plastic Surgery Is It Fact Or Fiction

Rumors swirl about famous Hollywood actress Jessica Lange having plastic surgery on her face prior to receiving an Emmy back in 2009. While Jessica denies having plastic surgery done her fans, which saw recent pictures said changes to her face are clearly visible.

According to Jessica Lange’s spokesperson, “there is no reason the actress would have gone for any kind of facial surgery or any kind of face uplift because she is the person who wants to age naturally and look natural.”  Jessica herself confirmed to New York Times that she had not had any invasive plastic surgery on her face and that the story was completely false.

Looking at Jessica’s different profile pictures in a span of several years’ different plastic surgeons opinion is that Jessica for sure has had facial plastic surgery of some type. Based on her photo’s surgeons believe she has had her eyebrows lifted and that could easily be seen, also Jessica now has a well defined neckline usually the result of a facial uplift.

Plastic Surgery And Prices

Plastic Surgery And Prices

Average Cost Across the U.S.

The Following is a listing of the average cost  for plastic surgery procedures in the United States. These numbers are derived from a survey of plastic surgeons who are certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Please note the following when considering the cost of plastic surgery in the United States or other country you are considering having our surgery.

Prices below, include the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia fee, operating room fee, and implant fee their may be other costs involved in your particular surgery.

When shopping for a plastic surgeon be certain to ask what fees are specifically covered in the surgeons price quote.   Often you will find that plastic surgeons only quote the surgeon’s fee, which is typically 60-80% of the total cost. What may appear to be a reasonable fee for a quality surgery could end up costing a small fortune after you find out the total cost of your plastic surgery

These prices are based on plastic surgery procedures being performed in accredited hospitals, accredited surgery centers, or accredited plastic surgery offices. Do not try to cut costs by sacrificing safety and having your procedure performed in a non-accredited facility.

Hyaluronic Acid Injection Rid You Of Facial Lines & Wrinkles

Hyaluronic Acid InjectionsIn our continuing search for the fountain of youth, there is a new weapon. Hyaluronic acid (HA), a key component of human tissue, aiding the body’s flexibility, mobility and moisture retention, is emerging as a key ingredient in many anti-aging beauty products and as a viable alternative to collagen and related substances in injection procedures.

As we age, the Hyaluronic acid levels in our body decrease, contributing to the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and dryness in the skin. Hyaluronic acid beauty products and injections can decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles by replenishing the body’s natural supply of Hyaluronic acid and/or by stimulating the body to rejuvenate its own supply of HA.

Among the exciting new developments in the world of Hyaluronic acid products is the recent FDA approval of Restylane and Hylaform, facial injections containing Hyaluronic acid. These injections can be administered quickly and with little chance of side effect. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more people than ever are choosing to forgo invasive plastic surgery for less painful, less time consuming procedures.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) predicts that in 2005, Hyaluronic acid (Restylane, Hylaform) will surpass collagen as the most popular soft tissue filler for lines and wrinkles. The Society also predicts that additional Hyaluronic acid products developed specifically for facial volume enhancement and for improvement of depressed scars will be introduced.

Currently, Hyaluronic acid injections are most commonly used around the mouth and on forehead wrinkles and smile lines and to enlarge, moisturize and “plump” lips. The entire injection process takes less than an hour, and requires repeat treatments every four months to a year. Hyaluronic acid treatments are more expensive than those using collagen (a syringe of Restylane or another Hyaluronic acid product might cost up to $500 as compared to around $373 for collagen) but HA injections last longer because they help the skin retain natural moisture.

When injected, the filler plumps up the skin by allowing it to attract and hold water. Side effects are much less likely with Hyaluronic acid than with collagen contributing to its attractiveness as an alternative treatment.
The possibilities seem endless for uses of Hyaluronic acid.

Rhinoplasty Surgery

Rhinoplasty SurgeryMost people know rhinoplasty better as a nose job. This purely cosmetic procedure reconstructs the nose to a shape more pleasing to the patient. When you look in the mirror and see a nose that doesn’t please, consulting a plastic surgeon may be your next phone call. However, before you consider going under the knife, make sure you do your research. The most important step is to find the right surgeon. You want someone who does these procedures as a normal part of their practice. Finding one certified for the procedure is even better.

Most people know rhinoplasty better as a nose job. This purely cosmetic procedure reconstructs the nose to a shape more pleasing to the patient. When you look in the mirror and see a nose that doesn”t please, consulting a plastic surgeon may be your next phone call. However, before you consider going under the knife, make sure you do your research. The most important step is to find the right surgeon. You want someone who does these procedures as a normal part of their practice. Finding one certified for the procedure is even better.

Whether your nose is too long, too pug, too short, or too crooked, rhinoplasty is a valid option. However, you shouldn’t take the decision for a nose job lightly. This serious medical procedure can have complications. Some patients may not get a nose exactly as they anticipated. They may have problems with breathing if more internal scarring occurs than expected. The incidents of complications are usually less than 10% of procedures. However, ask your surgeon about his experiences and the procedures he did to correct the problems. You also need to consider the anesthesia that you will need for the procedure. If you are not in good health or have an allergy, you may not qualify for the surgery at all.

A rhinoplasty is not the only type of procedure that you can have done on the nose. There are procedures performed on the nose that are medically necessary such as a septoplasty. Surgeons perform this process to correct the patient”s deviated septum. Patients having a septoplasty may also benefit from a nose job while under the knife. However, normally medical insurance only covers the cost of the septoplasty. If done at the same time, the insurance company may cover some of the costs for the surgery. Consult your doctor for this possibility.

The best advice is to do your research before having a rhinoplasty. You need to know the cost and complications you face. You want a good surgeon that does these procedures regularly. Look at both open and closed operating procedures. They each have their pros and cons. You need to be realistic with your hopes. Make sure you are doing it for yourself and no one else. Speak with family and friends. They will need to be there to support and help you in the days after the surgery. A nose job can make a big difference for many people. You may be a good candidate.

Consider Getting Eyelids Surgery To Get Rid Of Those Tired Eyes

Eyelid Surgery PhotoYou may well have heard of the famous nip and tuck, or the world renowned face lift ? but have you ever heard of ”blepharoplasty”? Probably not. If that is the case, you should be enlightened to know that blepharoplasty is the technical term for cosmetic eyelid surgery. If people can have excess skin and fat trimmed away from their waistlines, why not their eyelids too?

The most obvious benefit of having cosmetic eyelid surgery is the improvement in appearance that comes from the removal of any excess skin or fat pockets around the eyes.

What is Eyelid Surgery?

Cosmetic eyelid surgery is a procedure which aims to give the eyes a more youthful and ”perky” appearance. Generally, this involves the removal of any excess skin or fat deposits that can build up as we age. The muscles around the eyelids can also weaken, causing any fat deposits to ”droop” and bulge away from the eye area ? this phenomenon is sometimes known as bags under the eyes. Folds and creases can appear in both the upper and lower eyelids, which many people find detrimental to their appearance and self confidence. Eyelid surgery aims to correct these problems by tightening up the skin and removing any ”bags” that may be present. Eyelid surgery can be carried out on the upper or lower eyelids of both eyes, either on different occasions or during the same procedure.

Who Can Benefit From Having Eyelid Surgery?

Anyone who finds themselves unhappy with the way their eyes look can benefit from an eyelid surgery operation. Generally, as people age, they will find their eyes lose the youthful look they once had. Cosmetic eyelid surgery is one solution to this problem. Bear in mind that eyelid surgery does not reduce the appearance of the wrinkles found in the corners of eyes, sometimes referred to as ”crow”s feet”.

There are times when the appearance of someone”s eyes is not due to the aging process, but instead perhaps an accident or injury has caused a build-up of fatty tissue below the eyes or has damaged the muscles which support the eyelids. It is possible that eyelid surgery could help these people regain their previous appearance and lost confidence; however this is at the discretion of a qualified surgeon, and is by no means guaranteed to work in these cases.

What are the Benefits of Eyelid Surgery?

The most obvious benefit of having cosmetic eyelid surgery is the improvement in appearance that comes from the removal of any excess skin or fat pockets around the eyes. As time goes on, patients may well find that the muscles in the eyelid area also strengthen, lifting the eyes and enhancing the youthful look that was gained following the procedure. Another benefit is the increase in self confidence that comes from the improvement in appearance that patients receive following a period of healing. There are also certain cases where eyelid surgery can aid a medical issue, rather than simply being carried out for cosmetic reasons.

What are the Risks of Eyelid Surgery?

As with any surgical procedure, there are some risks associated with eyelid surgery. Generally the operation is safe and well-tolerated; however it is important to know the risks before you decide if eyelid surgery is for you or not.

Immediately following the operation, patients can suffer from some or none of the following negative effects:
Blurred vision
Sensitivity to bright light
Scarring and bruising around the eyes
Itchiness around the eyes

These issues will generally clear up within a few days (or weeks) of the operation, and should not be considered to be long term side effects. Obviously, it is vital that you discuss these possibilities with a health professional before having the surgery, as all patients are different and your reaction the surgery may differ.

Overall, cosmetic eyelid surgery is a great way to restore vitality and a youthful look to eyes which have become tired-looking through the natural aging process. The operation can be performed in under an hour in some cases (depending on whether you are having both eyes and/or eyelids operated on).

There are risks involved which should be carefully considered before making a decision; however, these are roughly the same as any other cosmetic surgery procedure.

Face Lift | Facial Rejuvenation

Face LiftPlastic surgery can indeed erase years of aging and stress. It is the most effective way to achieve significant results. No matter what the advertisement say about all the over-the-counter wrinkles creams, if you really want to look younger, consider plastic surgery.

Facial rejuvenation and anti-aging skin care comes in many forms. As a plastic surgeon, I recommend different approaches for different people, always customizing it for the individual.

Different techniques provide different levels of treatment, downtime and results. Here is a list of common plastic surgery techniques so you can decide what is right for you.

Facelift: A facelift is one of the most common plastic surgery techniques. A well-done facelift will correct the effects of aging on the face. A face lift can refresh your look and soften wrinkles. A quality facelift will not appear tight or unnatural.

Forehead and Brow Lifts: Not as complete as a facelift, a forehead or brow lift can takes years off the appearance your face. As the name implies, a forehead, brow lift, or an upper eyelid lift will correct deep forehead wrinkles, as well as horizontal and vertical facial lines.

Eyelid Surgery: Technically called a Blepharoplasty, eyelid surgery restores your youthful gaze by correcting loose skin, and sagging around the eyes. For most of us, the eye area is one of the most deeply affected of the face.

Nose Reshaping: Also called rhinoplasty or a nose job, nose reshaping can beautify your nose, correct breathing difficulties and create a harmonious balance with your face.

Chin and Cheek Enhancements: To accentuate the contour of your profile and neckline and provide finer definition to your face, chin and cheek enhancements can provide a more sophisticated and bold look.

Fat Grafting: Transfer of fat from thighs or abdomen to eliminate facial lines, augment lips and accentuate cheeks. Fat grafting removes years of aging from the face without any risk of scarring or the need for sutures. It is an extremely effective technique.

To decide which is right for you, it is best to consult with an experienced surgeon who can evaluate you objectively. In my opinion, it is best to do the minimal surgery in order to produce some subtle but significant results. Avoid a surgeon who seems to always want to do the maximum, most drastic thing. Often, that is not really needed. A less extensive surgery is sometimes better for many reasons. You will experience less pain and discomfort and heal faster from a simpler procedure and if that is all you require, it will also look best. Plastic surgery looks the best, the most realistic, when it is modest and subtle.

An over zealous desire to achieve drastic results is one of the main motivating factors behind bad plastic surgery that observers consider grotesque. Sometimes the best approach is to realize that there are necessary boundaries which require wisdom on the part of the surgeon to place properly. A surgeon needs to know when enough is enough and advise his patients accordingly using the utmost compassion.

Plastic Surgery Brow Lift | Mini Brow Lift

A brow lift, also called an endobrow lift or a forehead lift, is a surgical procedure designed to reduce sagging in the skin on the forehead, upper eyelids, and eyebrows. Brow lifts are most often used to help reverse signs of aging, usually in individuals over the age of 40, although this procedure is suitable for adult patients of any age.

As the body ages, skin loses some of its elasticity and resilience. This trend, along with years of skin exposure to environmental effects, can result in the formation of deep wrinkles and droopy skin. A brow lift can help reverse the process by minimizing creases in the forehead and reducing furrowed brow lines, droopy eyebrows, and hooding over the eyes.

Brow lifts are typically outpatient procedures. They may be performed under local or general anesthetic depending on the extent of the work needed. The surgery can be accomplished using one of two techniques: the classic lift or the endoscopic lift. The classic lift makes use of a single continuous incision which runs along the hairline from one ear to the other. Sagging tissues are manipulated into place and portions of the muscles and skin causing the deep lines and wrinkles are removed.

The endoscopic lift makes use of several short incisions that run along the scalp. A scope is inserted into one of the incisions so the surgeon can view the tissues and muscles. A second scope is then inserted into another incision, so that the necessary modifications can be made to the underlying muscles and tissues. Tiny titanium anchors inserted under the skin near the hairline serve to secure sagging tissue. The advantage of the endoscopic procedure is that it is much less invasive than the classic lift, allowing for a reduced recovery time and minimal scarring.

Both the classic and endoscopic lift methods require stitches or staples to close the incisions. Some procedures will also make use of temporary fixation screws, removed after two weeks, which hold the reconstructed brow in place while the body heals. All patients should expect swelling and bruising of the face, including those areas adjacent to the brow. Keeping the head elevated as much for possible for the first few days after surgery will help minimize these side-effects. Other possible side-effects include temporary numbness of the face and headaches. Patients of a classic brow lift may also find that they experience some itching and hair loss.

Brow lifts, as with any other type of surgical procedure, do present some potential risks. Patients run the risk of developing an infection around the incision sites. They may experience facial muscle weakness and stiffness, as well as excessive scarring. Other, more serious side-effects can include permanent damage to facial nerves and loss of facial motion.

For more information about brow lifts and to determine if this procedure is right for you, contact a local cosmetic surgeon and arrange for a personal consultation.
